In 2004, CEC launched a three year research project to develop a programme of research activity that identifies and evaluates European mission initiatives, particularly those that enable CEC to better describe and encourage what it currently understands by the phrase, ‘unity in mission’. CEC expects major recommendations to be presented in 2007 that describe in detail any future role that CEC might fulfil in facilitating and encouraging ongoing reflection and activity in these areas.
The Research base for the programme is located in Budapest, Hungary.
